Excursion to Cambridge.

Cambridge is the linguistic center of England, attracting visitors with exquisite architecture and a variety of fascinating excursions.  The best place for a peaceful and quiet holiday is the Botanical Garden. It is also worth visiting the most multinational educational institution of the city - Wolfson College. Around this beautiful building is a spacious area where you can see strolling students from a diverse variety of nations.   In the heart of the city is the Senate House. This is a beautiful old Baroque building constructed in 1730. It now hosts solemn ceremonies and receptions.   One of the most popular cultural centers is the Zoological Museum. This museum is a very unusual building as the entrance is crowned with a huge skeleton of a whale! The collection inside was started by none other than Charles Darwin. Over the years his original collected has been supplemented and expanded to include a variety of fascinating artifacts.    If you are interested in filling your lungs with fresh air during an invigorating hike, then the beautiful Castle Hill is the place for you! This small settlement is situated in the mountains and allows you the unique opportunity of getting acquainted with the life of local residents. As you stroll and chat with friendly locals, you can browse the variety of handmade souvenirs available for purchase.

In addition, Cambridge Technology Museum, Fitzwilliam Museum, Museum of Ancient Archeology, Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, and the Little Church of St. Mary are always open to visitors.

Among the most unusual attractions of the city is the Chronophagus watch that can be found on the facade of Christie College.

An important symbol of the city is the river Kam, a walk along the banks promises to be an unforgettable experience.

The city has many well preserved unique religious sites, among which the Ramsey abbey deserves special attention. It was founded in 969. An interesting architectural monument is the church of all Saints which is a vivid example of the Neo-Gothic style. The construction of the church began in 1863.
